BRENNERO DESIGNER OUTLET ITALY

A highly innovative building situated at the Brenner Pass (1,350 metres above sea level) in the Italian Tyrol, on the Italian/Austrian border. The building forms an extension to Brennero’s High Street, and features a glass wall facade which raises up in the Summer time. The building features a green roof, a biomass boiler, a timber structure made from sustainably managed alpine forests and naturally lit and ventilated shopping malls. Accommodation 19,000 m2 factory outlet in 60 units, plus food & drink. Value €25m, Client Designer Outlet Brennero AG

DUMBALLS ROAD CARDIFF REGENERATION A large–scale site for regeneration in central Cardiff, between the City Centre and Cardiff Bay. New routes are opened up through the site to connect the city with its principal river.

MACMILLAN THEATRE BRIDGWATER COLLEGE This is the design for the Performing venue of the College of Performing Arts. The project is currently awaiting planning consent. The budget constraint drove the design team to achieve a simple building, focusing on the quality of materials instead, particularly the quality of the brickwork. WEEDON ORDNANCE REGENERATION Weedon Former Ordnance Depot Regeneration Scheme, Northampton, U.K. The project comprised of two parts, the conservation of the 30 grade II listed buildings, as well as the construction of a new retail complex south of the site, to finance the renovation process. ABU DHABI CULTURAL & HERITAGE CENTRE This is part of the design for the Performing spaces in the Cultural & Heritage Centre in the historical centre of Abu Dhabi, near the old fort. The concept calls for the building to be buried under-ground, to reduce its impact on the landscape, and to accommodate climatic concerns in this hot environment.
